Smilies Module 1.1.1
Admin Upload Utility was originally called Smilies Upload Utility, and as that name implies, worked only with emoticon images. When the modification was expanded to include management for other types of files, the components specific to smilies were transformed into this module.
In addition to the traditional Admin Upload Utility features, aimed at smilies, support for managing template dependant smilies has also been provided. A second configuration file is included so that these features do not have to be manually configured.
Please note that while the Smilies Module does support template dependant smilies, it does not enable such features in other parts of a forum. Doing that requires a separate hack, which is not available at this web site.
Features
- Upload new emoticon image files (gif, jpg, and png).
- Rename those files as you upload them.
- Automatically add the files to the smilies database table, with:
- Automatically generated smiley code.
- Automatically generated smiley emotion.
- Database checking to see if a smiley with the same code already exists.
- Delete any uploaded image and it's database information.
Additional Notes
- This add-on is expected to function on any phpBB 2.0.x release.
