Coming Soon: Effects Shop

My next Shop 3 add-on will be an Effects Shop add-on. This isn't going to be the Effects Shop that Zarath was talking about releasing, but rather my own take on the concept. I was originally just going to port the Shop 2.x effect shop to Shop 3.x, as a sort of "holdover" until Zarath released his version, but after starting on it I decided it would be a better idea to just make my own version completely from scratch. So that's what I'm doing, a completely new thing with none of the old code. Hopefully this will get more people to try out Shop 3, since so many were asking about the Effects Shop.

It'll have almost all the same features as the 2.x effects shop, but the setup is easier to use. I'm dropping the features that allow username change and changing other people's ranks. All the other stuff (sigs, avatars, custom title, colors) is still there. I brought over the color picker from phpBB 3, too.

I expect to be releasing this sometime next week. It's probably about 80% done now. Here are some previews:

Thanks. Unfortunately it's been delayed a bit due to my PC problems, but hopefully I can finish it up soon.

Great news - Zarath has offered to send me the unreleased code for his effects shop! If I get this, I should be able to combine the features of this code and mine, to make an even better first release of the effects shop.

Zarath hasn't sent me his code yet, but I figured I should go ahead and get a release out now anyway. It's already been delayed nearly a month longer than I originally planned. I'll probably do another release in a few weeks anyway, so maybe I will be able to include some of Zarath's new features by then.

Two of the most used features of the current Shop on my forum is the Username change and Change other users Ranks.

Is there a way you could release the coding for Shop 3 that people can use if they want to?

I may add those features in the next version. If I release them, I want to integrate the username change with profile editing, and that will be some new code that I'll need to test a bit.
