Shop 3 is an update of Zarath's original Shop modification, which has long been used in many forums for games, member rewards, and other such things. It has a lot of updates from the previous release, Shop 2.6. Some of these are listed below, although there are also many others.
Zarath wrote: -Transactions between all users in all shop supported mods. Allows easy tracking of buys/sells/trades/gives/user shop purchases/admin edits etc.
-Updated shop display area to allow customized temples. This works in every shop field [except the districts template; read ]. So seperate templates may be used for shop list/item list etc. -Updated templates to now use a template directory. -Updated ALL files to use complete DBAL and rewrote most of it to work much, much faster. -Updated item handling... Really, the amount of changes this caused is just too big to list. But items are now stored in a seperate table, enabling you to create "unique" items without creating a shop item to represent it. -Removed image listing in viewtopic... Link only now. -Updated inventory listing to allow drops to bottom only (instead of top/bottom) due to changes in the item handling. -Made it so special shops now require a linking in the ACP, has a setting for shops to allow a script link instead of default link. -Added the ability to have "Shop Owners"... This needs to be updated properly so you can disable it. -Added PMs when giving/trading users... Virtually eliminated the old "Special Messages" field. (I think it still exists, but I don't think anything uses it.) -Updated the give function to allow multiple items... Almost none of the hacks created for Shop 2 will work with Shop 3. When Zarath first released the new Shop, I offered to work on updating some of those hacks. This forum is a place for that development, so I can get feedback on the updates and other Shop 3 related hacks I may release. I will also try to provide general support for the new Shop version here, as best I can. The add-on shops, like special effects, are not included in Shop 3. Zarath has released several of these separately, and I have released my own version of an Effects Store. More information about Shop 3 and it's new features can be found in the development thread at phpBB.com. You cannot get support for Shop 3 there however, since the moderators there have locked the topic. Shop 3 can be downloaded from Zarath's site, http://www.zarath.com/mods/ and phpBBHacks.com. I've updated this to reflect some new info on the Shop mod. It's no longer a Beta or Release Candidate. Zarath has now listed it on his site, so I've changed the link for the download. I've read that he's submitted it to phpBB.com; if it gets listed there, I'll remove the bit about the development thread.

Updated again, to bring attention to Zarath's add-on releases. So far he's released a gift wrapping shop and an updated version of Moogie's auctions. A synth shop will be coming soon, too.

I haven't tried the auction out yet but I did try the gift wrapping its a pretty cute addition the admin has to find the gift wrapping pics though as they are not included in the package |
