Language Packs

phpBB has a lot of non-English users and phpBB.com offers many translated language files from their site. I know that some of you might be looking for language files usable with some of my hacks, so I hope this topic will be of some help to you.

Finding Language Packs
Some nice people have made translations in the past and announced them in topics from a previous incarnation of this forum. Most of those language packs have been added to the site for download. You can find them by clicking the All Versions link on a hack's page in the Mods and Hacks section of this site. Not every hack has language packs available there, however.

More recent language packs might be available for download from the Hacks database at phpBBHacks.com. Try searching for the name of a hack plus the word "language" to locate any language packs listed on that site. There may also be links to available language packs in replies to this topic.

Releasing Language Packs
If you have translated this hack into another language and would like to release that translation as a language pack, please submit it to the phpBBHacks.com Hacks download database. If the download is accepted and posted on that site, you may post a reply to this topic. Be sure to include a link to the download's page on phpBBHacks.com and a mention of what hack and language for which the files are intended.

Please note that any language packs must be released under the GPL license, as they are derivative works based on files (from my modifications) released under that license.
