Standout Announcements

Hello Thoul,

I have a question about the standout announcements mod. I've successfully used this before but this time around I cannot get the colors to work in viewforum on one of the templates I'm using. My site has two main templates, Boyz, and Xtreme, and it works very well on the Xtreme, but using the exact same file edits on the Boyz template, the result is a strange other shade that I did not set in the css. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Boyz, huh? I'll try to download it tonight and take a look. There may be some funny CSS already in the template that conflicts with this.

Well, Boyz looks pretty normal from what I can see - almost identical to subSilver. Can you tell me what you're using in the CSS, so I can test that?

i tell you what thoul, it appears to have worked on boyz afterall. Maybe I forgot to clear my cache. Anyway, so I know it works fine on Xtreme and Boyz, you're going to love this, I've also got subSilver on there, and the backgrounds for the sticky and announcements are bothing showing as plain white. I guess I could go and do the edits in overall_header.tpl first then post back here. Btw, do you take any simple hack requests for money or otherwise?

Let me know how overall_header goes. It could be another cache problem, that sounds like a reasonable cause of what you saw with Boyz.
