I've added a new tutorial, Secure Your Administration Control Panel. This tutorial can be used with both phpBB 2 and phpBB 3 forums.

Hi Thoul:
I've set up the added security as directed - very easy, thanks. It works fine because I'm asked for the new password info, then the admin login info and then I get into the admin area. All links work fine in the admin area, but I also get the following error message emailed to me (via the Error Notification to Admin Mod) Code: ERROR PAGE URL: /phpbb/admin/index.php?pane=right&sid=681718e681202f37b734aa73ef752edb
The Member Name or Password you supplied is not correct.<br />If you are an authorized member, please return to the page that sent you, then be sure to correctly enter this information. Any idea how to fix? |

I have no idea. It sounds like it's thinking you entered the wrong password in the phpBB login. The .htaccess password prompt wouldn't be able to cause this itself.

Yes, that's right. The phpBB admin login will appear after the .htaccess login.
