Post Associator: Can this be altered to work with deleted?

I installed this hoping that I might be able to associate a deleted/banned member with whatever new posts they may create with a new username.

From time to time a deleted user will show back up and cause the same trouble or just try to pass themselves off as someone new. If this could be made to associate a new member (not guest) with a former member, that would be great.

Is there a simple way to do this.

Btw, I don't let guests post in my forums, so if this can't be altered, I need to uninstall it.

It would work for a deleted member (when they're deleted, the posts are turned into guest posts and should have the old username saved with them - that's what Post Associator needs). It was originally created for that sort of thing. It wouldn't work for banned accounts that haven't been deleted, though.

Ok. Good to know, thx. When I tested it I tried to associate a post by a currently active username to another currently active user. That didn't work. Now I see why.
