username disappear

for some reason if a member doesnt have effect on their username or rank than the forum wont display their name on their posts or their profile. is it bad coding from me or is it an error?

Double check the edits to viewtopic.php and usercp_viewprofile.php. Do you have any other mods installed that affect the username color? It could be a conflict with something like that.

it was fixed, thanks. it took me 3 hours of checking the files related to this mod. i uploaded them but still nothing happened so i got fustrated and wanted to delete the effect mod but when i looked at the root files i remembered the install.php and i had an idea . i thought if i uninstall the effect mod using the install.php than reinstall it might work and it did. (thanks other mods dont have a uninstall feature in them )

and it was the viewtopic.php that had a coding error. it was because of the job mod i installed. i mixed the job mod coding and the effect mod coding together .

i think you should next time tell other users to try using the install.php to uninstall the mod and install it again (but it does take away the effect of anyone who has bought a effect already). its just an suggestion.

No problem, I'm glad you got it fixed. I may mention something about using the uninstaller to fix problems in the notes on the next release. Someone else mentioned that worked for them too, so it sounds like something worth noting.
