Update Requests?

I'm going to be working on updating a few of the older Shop 2 based hacks to work with Shop 3. My main focus is going to be on hacks that appear to be abandoned. I have a couple of starting points in mind, but I'm open to any suggestions on hacks that could be updated.

I won't promise to update a particular hack that is suggested, but I will be glad to take any suggestions in consideration.

Also, I won't touch any hacks that aren't released under the GPL license. Any released under that license are fair game for updates, under the terms of the license.

Here's a list of idea's I'm considering, both from what I want to see updated and what has been suggested. (Updated Oct 10, 2006).

• List of items given from one member to another
  
• Slot Machine w/ item add-on
  
• Maybe updates to some of Moogie's RPG (definitely multiple item buy/sell, at least)
  
• Free ticket item
  

If you have any other suggestions or ideas, please, feel free to post them!

Do you plan on any adaptation for CH. As I'm sure you know the auths are much different than a vanilla phpBB.

I hadn't really thought about it. I doubt an adaptation will be needed, though. There's not really any auth related stuff in Shop 3. I know Shop 2 had a feature that allowed restrict auth access to forums to people with certain items, but that was removed in Shop 3 (it's still in the ACP, but doesn't have an effect).

I'll have to download CH sometime and check it, though. I really need to do that for most of other hacks anyway. Thanks for indirectly reminding me of it.

Would it be possible to create an option under the Admin CP to limit the amount of items that are shown in the profile of each member?

That's a good idea, and in fact I made sometihng similar for one client's private install of Shop 2. Recreating it for Shop 3 is definitely something I'll be doing.

i have one idea, which i need for my forum, for long time about shop mod, i tried to make it myself, but i'm not very strong in mysql and php yet, it's not my main work (learning it only then i have some free time)...

Idea is to show users name (if he bought it) or show users name who give this item to him (if item was given) under item picture in viewtopic.

Now i have problems how to show this under item in viewtopic...

Maybe you have some ideas regarding this? oh i forgot to say the shop mod code is still very unreadable to me, maybe it is posible to make some comments or something in the future.

Hm, that's an interesting idea. Shop 3 has built-in transactions support, which means it automatically makes a record of items that are bought and given. I need to look at it a bit more, but I think this idea will work very well with Shop 3. I'll see what I can put together.

Yeah it has, but still it was difficult to me to put this things together, sooner or later ill come back to it (just lacking of time to do this now )

I will let you know of course if i figure something out myself with this.
