Problem: Special Effects Mod: User Can't Change Username

Hey Thoul, long time no see. Hope everything has been going well for you! (You helped me add a "required time to keep your new title" mod to your special effects mod probably like a year ago.)

One of my board users finally put up the cash to purchase the change username effect, however they say they can't change their username. So I created a dummy account and purchased the effect, and then went to edit my profile on the board. I don't see where to change my username either, so it looks like this is a genuine problem.

Any ideas?

Fixing this is going to depend on which version of the Effects mod you have installed. If it's an older version, you need to ensure the option for Allowing Username Changes, under the board's ACP > General > Configuration page, is turned on. When it is on, they should be able to change their name by editing their profile.

For the latest branch of Effects (version 2 and later), they should be able to change their name by buying/using the username item.
