Districts?

Thoul what do the districts do and how do I add them? Right now they're empty and i dont know where to add it

This is a bit of a different subject, so I split it off into it's own topic.

Districts are categories for shops. You can use it to group shops with similar themes together. I believe Zarath once said he used it to group shops by towns, and that was where the name districts came from.

Adding a district is a bit tricky. To use an example from an RPG setting, say you have three shops named Swords, Axes, and Lances. Since these all sell a type of weapon, maybe you want to put these shops in a Weapons district. There are two parts to adding a district - creating the district and placing shops inside it.

Go to the Shop Settings admin and create a new shop called "Weapons." You should see a message saying "Shop added successfully!" Now return to the Shop Settings page and select your new Weapons shop from the select box at the bottom. Click the Edit button next to the select box.

This brings you to the page where you can configure the Weapons shop. There are two settings related to districts on this page: District Type (0 or 1) and Shop District Number. The District Type setting is what allows you to make a shop a district. You can enter 1 to make the shop a district, or 0 to make it a normal shop. Since this shop will be a district, enter 1.

The Shop District Number is like an ID number for the district and will be used to place shops inside the district. Each district should have it's own unique District Number. For your first district, enter 1 here. When you make a second district, enter 2 for the District Number. Enter 3 for the third district, and so on.

Click the Update Shop button when you're done, and you will have created a district.

Now let's move a shop inside the district. Go back to the Shop Settings page and select a shop you would like to place inside the district from the select box at the bottom. Click the Edit button next to the select box to enter the configuration of this shop. I'll use the Swords shop as an example.

To place the shop inside a district, you need to edit the Shop District Number setting. Just enter the District Number of the district that you want to hold this shop. In this case, the number would be 1. To place a shop in your second district, the number would be 2, etc. Click the Update Shop button when you're done, and repeat these steps to put as many shops in the district as you want.

When finished, check the public shop pages. You should now have "Weapons" listed under "District Name" at the top. Clicking it should take take you to a list of shops in the district.
