Development Environments
Refinements for phpBB found on this site are developed and tested on the author's own private server. This system has the specifications listed below. All of the refinements appear to work quite well on this system, but your milage may vary. Note that some of the older refinements were developed and tested on using older specifications, but still worked fine.
- Operating System: Windows XP,
- Processor: Pentium 4 2.8 GHz,
- RAM: 512 MB,
- phpBB: Usually the latest version; see individual add-on pages for specifics,
- Server: Apache 1.3 (Apache 2 in some cases),
- PHP: 4.4.2 (PHP 5 in some cases),
- MySQL: 4.1,
- Browsers: Firefox 2, Avant (based on Internet Explorer 7), Opera 9.
