ACP permissions problem

Postby Mikecp421 » Tue Aug 30, 2005 4:21 pm

I was just noticing that when I go to the Group Admin area and then permissions and try to view the simple mode of the permissions that it won't switch. It only shows the advanced mode. Could you tell me where I should look to figure this out? Thanks

I had a similar problem a little while back that was caused by my browser, Firefox, and it's Adblock extension. If you use those, try disabling Adblock.

Assuming you don't use them, there might be a problem in the admin/admin_ug_auth.php file. Try replacing it with a fresh copy and see if that helps.

Nice forum Thoul, I figured I'd hang around seeing as it looks like a nice community. 8)

Anyway, I had a similar problem I believe. Except it was with normal user permissions. If I try to give them private access to a forum, I can't see the option in simple mode. When I go to advanced mode however it works.

Probably is admin_ug_auth.php. I always have problems with this file for some darned reason. :x

the bump really isnt necessary but I have some input.

I have run into this problem with both group and user permissions before as well. As far as I could decipher, the problem arises when dealing with private forums as said before. If you turn specific permissions for a private forum on or off, it will force you to keep the advanced view. I run a board with many many private forums, groups etc, it gets complicated but yeah, as far as I can tell, if u have some permissions on a private forum set to on and or off it will always show in advanced mode.
